Hello,
I've been a long time GP2Xer but I gave up on the platform since I had a first model GP2x that had a hard time overclocking.
I wonder if the current programs coded for the GP2X are so good that you do not need to use a script to overclock programs anymore?
I did have that big 2.0 firmware upgrade thing and the custom controller knob as well.
I hope NES, SNES, MegaDrive/Genesis, Neo-Geo, arcade emulation is as good as most pcs and better than the PSP. I will not settle for less than 60fps emulation without frameskiping.
Also, do you know of anybody in the Pennsylvania area who can fix my GP2x since it was the older one where the audio headjack fell into the system?
I finally have an SD card reader and would love to watch files again and use stuff that I do not feel like using a laptop for.
Thank you all in advance and cannot wait to get excited about the GP2x again.

Not without some overclocking. Although saying that, most of the programs now have overclocking in the menu so you don't have to screw around with scripts.
NES and SNES are still WIP. We now have Mega CD and GBA emulation halfway there or so.
I admit that I am out of date as well so I am not sure of the real latest status of emulaters.
