Don't get me wrong, SMS is the biggest thing I tend to use with my PS2 lately, but its codec support is quite limited. If I could get a PS2 media player that just played the video or audio that's being pre-encoded on a DLNA server like WMP11 or TVersity, I'd be quite the happy camper.
