Sony does not care one way or another about this. Sony just makes the .jpg and .mp4 viewer, they have no opinion on adult content. They make televisions and dvd players, they don't care if you watch adult dvd's on them.

Just one thought, though: Is the psp the best medium for adult content? I mean, isn't this a "private time" sort of thing? Besides shocking and impressing freinds, what's the point? A TV or computer is much better for the task of adult entertaining.

let's clear up this whole issue with porn and sony.
the only reason i think that sony is doin this is because of the past-
remember when VHS (videocassettes) just came out? Sony made their own proprietory format (Betamax) to compete. The biggest difference in terms of contents allowed was in the porn business - VHS's allowed adult films on their cassettes, whereas Sony's did not. As a result, betamax quickly fell off the charts when men started buying the VHS's adult films.

Now Sony has released the UMD, another Sony-made format to compete in the data transfer/format market (like minidisc, ATrac3, etc)

As they say, history repeats itself :P Sony rejected the porn industry in the past, but they cannot reject it again for the UMD's. So Sony dislikes porn on their formats, but they are powerless to stop it, as the format of UMD's are possibly at stake.

There are plenty of uses. In my case, I'm in the Navy and go out to sea quite often. The only <private> place you have is your rack (bed). Porn on PSP ROCKS!!! And yes there is also the cool factor with porn on a gaming device, or just porn in general with sailors... :P
