[Crisis Core hits Japan number 1]

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was released in Japan last week and sold 487,000 copies in the seven-day period.

It was a bumper week for software sales in the territory, with two new Pokemon titles taking second and third spots yielding a top three sales figure of over 1 million units sold.

Elsewhere Mario Party 8 was the sole Wii entrant in seventh, with Wii Sports and Wii Play both dropping out of the top ten last week.

The full sales top ten is as follows:

1. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP)

2. Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Toki no Tankentai (DS)

3. Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon: Yami no Tankentai (DS)

4. Fate/Tiger Colosseum (PSP)

6. Taiko no Tatsujin DS (DS)

7. Mario Party 8 (Wii)

8. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates (DS)

9. Sengoku Musou 2 Mushouden (PS2)

Not much of a surprise really, what with it being a good Final Fantasy game, having a limited edition PSP Slim and Lite sold aswell oh and did I mention it was called Final Fantasy again? whoops, lol.

It is a pretty good game, cant wait for an English language release to play now, Jap version is getting a little hard without a good knowledge of the language.

Japan is different ... CC is not the best PSP game by far and there is, number one

I understand now why an 10 years old game-concept like pokemon still shell "games"

Now seriously... Although different CC is one THE best psp rpg yet... Its the only game that got me hooked up for more than 5 hours... I'm very picky about games, they have to be near perfection for me to get hooked up...

Although I do agree that I can't understand why the pokemon franchise sells so much... Guess that just proves nintendo are kiddie's consoles *sighs*
