[Problem in Legend of Zelda Link To The Past]

I'm trying to play A Link To The Past using the latest version of PocketSnes on my GP2X...

When I grab the lantern from the house and go outside I can't see a darn thing!? Nothing but rain and the occasional guard sprite.. Is this an emulator problem with not displaying the graphics properly or am I just getting something wrong?

Any help much appreciated!

Turn off transparent layers completely or enable transparency for layers. The reasons why they are default to 'off' is due to the extra CPU hit to process them.
