via zodttd (http://zodttd.com/index.php?/archives/17-RUMORS-GP2X-The-future-model-from-GamePark-Holdings.html)

Every once in awhile I get some secrets whispered to me that I can finally pass along. Today I have confirmed that GamePark Holdings (GPH), the maker of the GP2X, is planning a new model.

This model will be called the F800 and have an 800MHz ARM processor with a 2.8 inch screen. Though low on details, it is speculated this handheld will have a rough future for it due to the changing climate in the (open source) handheld-gaming hardware arena.

Will they continue using MagicEyes hardware? Will the 2.8 inch screen be a marketing low point? Only time will tell.
Feel free to discuss and speculate via comments. I'd love to hear some opinions on whether GP2X users will stay loyal to GPH and buy something such as this F800, or look elsewhere for their homebrew gaming on the go fix.

honestly, it'll be great as long as its pretty small... Expandable memory via microSD, although the odds on a touch screen are prob slim to none, I think the best bet is try to capture the iphone's size. Anything bigger than can fit in your pocket is a real pain. I know I don't carry my DS or PSP around with me for this very reason.

If it was possible to include wifi, microsd, and some sort of ez peripheral attachment (usb?bluetooth?) it could make a dent. but without being able to expand your memory, get on the net, or fit it in your pocket. It'll probably not make too many waves.

They shouldn't of released the F-200 and should of instead thought about the next step up from the GP2X. Hopefully they will include a 3" screen, wifi and lithium battery as well as a Dpad. The F-200 offer too little and will cause backward compatibility problems with the F-100.

kinda soon after the F-200, but for the right price, I'd buy it...

Ok gph has made big mistake releasing gp2x-f200 with processor running on 265mhz which is same as previous model, the gp2x-f800 with 800 mhz processor only the processor won't do any justice it needs to have strong hardware the best machine for emulators has to be Gizmondo which had a 400mhz processor and a powerful 3d accelerator not even the psp is good as that if a company like Nintendo can release a powerful system like Gizmondo it will be awesome i wonder when will Nintendo release their next system.

The gp2x f-200 is great it does have touch screen and improved d-pad, it has processor of 240mhz which can be overclocked to 300mhz which is quite good i just sold my ds lite a weak specs hardly none of the emulators were amazing it played weak ones the gp2x plays powerful emulators at full speed can't wait to play mega cd i will buy this very soon.
