There's really no reason for this anymore now that PS3 plays DivX.

chip is right, it plays avi, wmv, and mp4, (most of the casual download formats on the web) what type of video files are you trying to convert?

use imtoo. Its not free, but reply if you want an attachment or torrent. And as for ps3 playing wmv or dvix, WHICH FIRMWARE UPDATE??? My f***ing PS3 wont view them, let alone play them.
