[SMB networking in vista for SMS 2.5R2]

I am trying to get SMS to connect to my vista machine via SMB but can only get it to recognize the SMS.smb file. As far as I can tell, the ps2 can't get permission to browse the vista machine. Does anyone know how I can get SMB working between the vista machine and SMS?
