not a noob, but need help

Long story short i bricked my psp a while ago but had recovery mode on my 2.71 SE and was ok. I just bricked my friends 2.80 trying to downgrade i went into xloader and loaded the downgrade from there bad idea instead of following the directions and going to the GAME menu. Can i recover this brick at all? I know the undiluted chip or whatever recovers bricks. . . .link to get it? The thing still turns on and all but just no visuals or audio. Soemthings telling me he's not entirely ****ed and i dont have to go on ebay quite yet. . .

There is no way to recover as there was no recovery installed so nothing can be done apart from a modchip
