geodata or bust!

well. without geodata this prog is very cool, useful for trekking but uncomplete... there must be a way to get this damn geodata files!
Assuming I'm talkin to europeans like me, is there a way to capture, decode, steal the vectorial data of the streets that googleearth (and similar progs) cache on our disks? We have to develope some kind of converter...
I also found this wonderful prog: TrackMaker that is free, can import from googleearth.. and export to different formats. But I used it too far ago and can't remeber now that I've re-discovered it how may it turn useful for our geodata.dat files!
Someone got any idea?
