From November this year, developers using the Marmalade SDK to create native games in C++ for Smart TV will be able to call on PlayJam's suite of APIs to add a number of in-game features specifically designed to enhance, cross-promote and monetize content on TV.

The PlayJam Platform will power a full range of global billing options including both account and mobile-based transactions as well as various social features designed to drive revenue and customer loyalty such as prize-based tournaments, recommendations and leaderboards.

"The combination of Marmalade's cross platform SDK with PlayJam's suite of smart TV publishing tools will result in a powerful ecosystem for developers looking to address what is set to become one of the most exciting games platforms to have emerged in the last ten years." says Charles Tigges, CCO PlayJam. "This agreement will see a range of high performance, native games coming to the PlayJam Games Network, increasing choice for millions of Smart TV owners worldwide."

Tony Waters, Head of Marmalade SDK added "It's very exciting that PlayJam will be joining our growing number of partners that are enabling developers to create engaging content for Smart TV's via the Marmalade SDK. Consumers increasingly expect to see their favourite apps and games available on any platform they use. This partnership provides an essential ability for developers to create genuinely cross-platform apps and games and maximise their revenue potential. We are excited to see what our Marmalade developer community will create using the powerful PlayJam toolset".
