Fractal Universe V3 for Sony PSP by Art 2009







Hi Guys,
This is my third release of Fractal Universe for the PSP.
Fractal Universe is a relatively fast Mandelbrot set fractal explorer.
You can move left, right , up, down, and zoom in & out of the image you see at any time.

An overlay viewfinder window has been implemented that lets the user zoom into any
particular spot in the image they want. This saves a lot of rendering time.

Fractal Universe now has a high quality mode that will let you zoom in further,
and an auto mode that will create frames for the fractal growth effect like this one:

Code
V2 (06/07/09): - Added a higher quality setting (255 iterations). - Implemented auto mode that can create frames of a fractal growth effect video. - Program now clocks the PSP to 333 MHz. - Saved images are now in 24 bit bitmap format. - Some information is now shown on the calculating screen. - Program now makes click sound for every valid button press, and when a new frame is rendered. V3 (06/07/09): - Fixed program exit screen to work properly when Home button is pressed. - Implemented zoom viewfinder. - Images are now saved to ms0:/PICTURE/Fractals so they can be viewed in the XMB picture viewer.

This is getting a lot better. Would love to see, if possible
[1] Serial screenshots, rather than the present overwrite method
[2] Is it possible to do palette animation?
[3] How about Julia as against only mandelbrot...

[2] Yes, but a little more difficult with the way it currently works. Don't rule it out though,
it's the only feature GoatSucker's fractal explorer has over mine now (although FU V3 now shits on it's navigation).

[3] EDIT.. I have a Julia set supported for V4
