Deunan has posted news concerning his work on the Naomi hardware (similiar to Dreamcast)

Last week turned out to be very interesting. First I received another cart from Roberto Malone, who graciously donated Giant Gram 2000 to be sacrificed in various hideous and unspeakable experiments - all in the name of science.

Then Andreas Naive found some free time to improve his M2/M3 codec, which made running Virtua Striker 3 possible without having to hack around the game protection. A few more titles need his attention as well and hopefully we will have those working soon.

And finally some luck with NAOMI BIOS protection system - not exactly what I wanted but it's good enough. As long as there is a point of attack I can inject my own code Suffices to say that GG2K was the very first cart ever that I dumped without touching anything on it. While far from being perfect this little breakthrough made this possible:

This game was dumped by ANY so, unlike my previous teasers, you should see it in MAME ROM packs soon.

Ah, I forgot to add that World Kicks actually needs a ball to kick to play Also, it's the first game I've seen to make use of the differences between cart addressing modes - this can be worked around but the best option would be to just emulate it properly. And there are some problems with the shadows, no idea what it's all about yet.
