Dreamcast Shenmue Save Converter (beta)
Here's my Shenmue Save Converter, so you can load your completed Shenmue 1 (US/JAP) save on Shenmue 2 (PAL), to continue the story.

Using the converter is pretty simple: browse and select your Shenmue 1 savefile, press "A", and then select the destination VMU to save the fixed PAL Shenmue save.
If everything went fine, you'll be able to start Shenmue 2 using your Shenmue 1 save, keeping your money, prizes and moves learned.

If someone wants, burn the selfboot image (Padus DiscJuggler .CDI) and try it out.

My suggestion for beta testing: save the converted file in a different VMU, so you won´t overwrite your existing (and WORKING!) save file.

If it works nice for the "beta testers", then I can do a proper ´official´ release.

Well it would have been nice to see something like this a few years ago when I bought Shenmue 2...

But I do remember the frustration when I couldnt open my save XD

Thanks for this anyways, maybe ill dig up my old saves

this is pretty neat- I may wake my dreamcast up from its long sleep and try this. I lost my shenmue 2 save long ago. I used the method of a emailing it to myself on the dreamcast and a hex editor when shenmue 2 was released. I have been wanting to play Shenmue 2, but didn't want to start with nothing(as opposed to fully loaded). Anyone tested the disc image yet?

It would also be very nice if you could convert USA or PAL save for use with the Japanese version of Shenmue II.

If someone can provide me the info to successfully convert a Shenmue 1 save to Shenmue 2 JAP, then I could easily include it in my conversion tool.

Just wanted to add, tried it today and works 100%.

Thanks for the up, way less hassle than transferring the file to PC and hex editing.
