psp Psp with internal camera and speakers

Rex over at Acidmods posted his new PSP Mod:
Greetings to all , just finished my mod. Introducing the Internal PSP Chotto Shot Camera Mod. Please if any one has any questions please feel free to ask them in this thread. With the limited space in the PSP phat I had to remove the UMD drive. We are working on a PSP Slim version as it looks now the slim version should not need the UMD drive to be removed. We will post tutorial soon.

Very nice mod. Unfortunately one would have to look into a different case for the PSP post-modding, and not being able to use UMDs on that PSP would be a tad awkward, but other than that it seems pretty sweet.

Can you use the GPS device while the camera is hardwired in? Also can you use the USB port as normal?

If it sticks out at the back so the PSP no longer fits in cases
why not just leave the GoCam connected to the top of the PSP and save the UMD drive?
