    Default Homebrew channel, won't "install"

I have manged to get to the "homebrew" channel menu via the TP hack, but than I just get to to go in circles. How do I "fix" this? Here is a pic of the file director(ies) of the SD card (drive "F")

    http://img252.imageshack.us/my.php?i...rectoryvj7.jpg

    Drive F (ROOT):
    -boot.elf
    -homebrew channel installer.elf
    -readme.txt

    Homebrew
    -HBCI.elf
    -readme.txt (& a "SNES" folder)

    SNES
    -snesgxwi.elf

and "private" has the folder structure for the TP hack. With the data.bin file in the last folder.

[email protected] is also my e-mail address.

You have to move or rename the boot.elf that is in
the root of your sd card and rename your
homebrew channel installer.elf that is there boot.elf

Got the channel to the wii menu, but I can't "reset". Couple of weeks ago, the console dropped onto "title" like floor, and the power button won't work anymore, reset somewhat works and eject will work. Pressing a controller button, I can do, "resetting" to agree, I can't.

did you rename the homebrew channel installer.elf to boot.elf?
you can't install it from an elf loader.

I think so. The channel is on the wii menu, the reset button just won't work.

so you can use the channel?
the reset button don't work cus your wii is crashing... duh?
so you will have to hold your power button down for about 5 seconds, and it will shut off, that's what i do, and probably everyone else.

EDIT: ah, your power button don't work..
then you will have to pull the plug or the new MAG loader has a reset.elf with it, i think it will reset the wii, i haven't tried it but i think it does..

    MAG loader . . .?

Most likely a stupid question . . . but what do we EXACTLY need on the SD card to play say SNES game . . . etc? What files, folders, etc.

I think there should be a FAQ that gets updated when new things to "homebrew scene" show up. If there isn't one already.

hmm, download the MAG loader here from dcemu, and the SNES emu, rename the MAG loader to boot.elf and put it in the ROOT of the SD card, put the snes9x.elf (or something) in the "elf" (lowercase!) folder on your SD card and try again, if it works, then look at the thread for the SNES emu you downloaded and look for where you put the roms, there are different paths for different versions and builds..

the FAQ is in every thread about the release, f.e the FAQ on how to get the SNES emu to work is in the SNES emu release thread, probably on the front page if you wnat the most recent release..

and of course you have to have a GC controller for ANYTHING to work..
