Microsoft has confirmed plans that it will sell Windows 10 to customers on USB drives.
This news comes as etailer Amazon unveiled pre-order pages for Windows 10 Home priced at $119.99 (£77) and Windows 10 Pro for $199.99 (£128).
According to VentureBeat, a Microsoft spokesperson said: “Windows 10 will be available on USB drives for purchase in retail channels shortly after launch. The suggested retail prices for Windows 10 in the US are the same as Windows 10.”
Although Amazon will be selling Windows 10, the retail release date is currently August 30th, much later than Microsoft’s intended release date of July 29th.
While Windows 10 is a free upgrade for owners of Windows 7 and 8, those who are using different operating systems will need to pay to access Windows 10.
