Rory McIlroy has done the double, staying at the top of the charts for a second week – making it the very first golf game to do so in the UK.
Rory McIlory PGA Tour – the first title in the franchise without the name of former box star Tiger Woods – retained its number one spot despite sales more than halving (down 56 per cent).
That’s partly thanks to a complete absence of new releases in the Top 40 last week, leading the existing players to move around.
LEGO Jurassic World climbs two places to second place, dropping eight per cent, while fellow Warner Bros release Batman Arkham Knight continues to hang in third, sales down almost a third (28 per cent) week-on-week.
Meanwhile, F1 2015 dropped back to number four as sales more than halve (down 55 per cent). The racing title is closely followed by chart staple Grand Theft Auto V, which has seen sales rise consistently for the last three weeks – it was up eight per cent last week.
Last week’s second place title God of War III: Remastered fell out of the Top Ten, down six spots to sit at number 15 as sales sell 37 per cent.
Although there were no completely new entries in the Top 40, Trials Fusion: The Awesome Max Edition managed to break into the Top 40 after debuting outside of the rankings last week, climbing to number 37 on the back of a 70 per cent increase in sales.
Here is the UK software retail chart for the week ending July 25th, according to GfK Chart-Track and UKIE:
