Zenimax's lawsuit against Oculus VR and its parent company Facebook will move forward, after separate motions to dismiss by the latter two firms were denied. Polygon reports Facebook's motion to dismiss due to a number of “errors” in Zenimax's allegations was shut down by US District Court judge Jorge A. Solis. Oculus had a similar motion dismissed by Solis last month. Solis indicates the lawsuit will move forward because the complaints have to do with whether Zenimax's allegations are true – which is meant to be settled in court – not whether they're grounds for a lawsuit. A preliminary jury trial date has been set for August 1st, 2016 for the case. ZeniMax sued Oculus in May of last year, alleging that the VR company misappropriated trade secrets in the development of the Oculus Rift. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/faceb...orward/0154132
