psp Review: Datel MAX Power Battery 1200mAh

    Datel MAX Power Battery 1200mAh
    Manufacturer: Datel
Site : Buy from Divineo France
    Price: 24.90 €

Overview : Your PSP battery can give you up to ten hours of use per charge, but is this enough? When you have fought your way to the last level and are about to face the end-of-game boss, the last thing you want is to have to wait for the battery to recharge before delivering the killer blow. That's where MAX Power comes in…

The MAX Power Slimline is a lithium battery for the PSP designed in a slimmer package to fit the new Slimeline PSP. Keep it charged and you always have a back-up in case your main battery is drained at a crucial moment.

    Features :
    • Special slimmer 1200mAh version of the MAX Power
    • Up to eight hours of use per charge.
    • Always have a spare battery handy.

    Technical Specifications :
    • 1200 mAh
    • Lithium-polymer technology
    • 3.6 volts

Quality/Usability : Its always good to have a backup battery. You never know when you'll be in an area with an outlet or USB port to help keep your PSP Slim powered. Sometimes you're so immersed into the game that you dont even notice how much battery life is left until you see the battery indicator blinking or worse...the PSP shuts off in the middle of your game. The Datel MAX Power Battery 1200mAh is Datel's answer to Sony's replacement and backup battery. The size of the battery is practically the same size of that of the Sony PSP Slim battery.

MAX Power takes about 1-2 hours to full charge. Once fully charged, the battery provides 4-7 hours of play depending on the settings on the PSP Slim such as volume and brightness. The lower the settings, the longer it will last.

Conclusion : Overall, the Datel MAX Power Battery 1200mAh is a good replacement whether you're looking to replace your battery or looking for a spare battery. Price however is on the expensive side. Its almost the same price as a Sony brand.

    does it stick out any?

    if so bleh

if not this product would be worth while

altho you can pretty much buy this in any game shop for less

but hey, if your closest game shop is 300 miles away shipping + a little is better than gas right now

course a 300 mile long trip would probably do you some good since your stuck in the middle of nothing

Actually, believe it or not, that info is from CodeJunkies website. Go figure. I think the 10 hours part is in reference to Sony's battery (hence "Your PSP battery...") and the 8 hours is their own battery.

    Datel batteries are all crap.
4 hours of play time MAX, despite what they and the package claim.
    BUYER BEWARE!!!
I've tried out 2, both suck.
Complaint emails sent to Datel and Divineo have been ignored.
    BUYER BEWARE!!!
