EA Sports' FIFA 19 continued to hold sway in the latest GSD EMEAA charts for the week ending October 7th. While the week saw the game's cover star Cristiano Rinaldo the subject of a re-opened $#@! investigation, any impact the bad press might have had on sales was not enough to prevent the game topping the charts for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia during its second week on shelves.
As for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the franchise's best launch of the generation was not enough to secure it the top spot, and Ubisoft's latest had to settle for second. Super Mario Party was the week's only other new release in the top 10, finishing in third place. Notable new releases that failed to crack the top of the charts included Sega's PS4-exclusive Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, Capcom's Mega Man 11, and 2K's WWE 2K19.
A handful of titles also returned to the top 10, as Star Wars Battlefront II jumped 78 spots on the chart to land in 8th place for the week, while the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy jumped 10 spots up to 9th place.
