Nepal has banned PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, according to Reuters. The Nepal Telecommunications Authority ordered the ban today saying it is "addictive to children and teenagers," as well as violent in a way that negatively affects them.
NTA deputy director Sandip Adhikari said while there haven't been any specific incidents stemming from the game, there have been concerns that it was distracting children from school work or other duties. The NTA has ordered mobile and internet service providers to block access to the game.
Nepal isn't the only place PUBG has come under fire. Last month, four cities in India temporarily banned the mobile version of the game because local authorities believed it was provoking violence and anger in young people. Calls for a national ban in India have grown louder since a teenager committed suicide earlier this month after fighting with his parents over how much time he was spending on the game.
