Default Disney Plus Is Practically Impossible Not To Buy Between Star Wars And Marvel Shows,

Disney rolled out a load of information about Disney Plus, or Disney+ as I refuse to write, the company’s long-awaited streaming service. Long-awaited for them, at least, as they desperately want to rip their stuff off Netflix and start raking in that streaming cash for themselves. No so long-awaited for potential viewers who are by this point no doubt exhausted about the elaborate mesh of subscription services containing all the good TV shows and movies that all add up to be more than their cable bill ever was.
But Disney is playing hardball. The details revealed yesterday showed off a slate of shows that any nerdy viewer like myself simply cannot miss seeing. I may be able to say eh, I don’t know if DC Universe is worth it just for Titans and Young Justice, or if CBS All Access is worth it for just Star Trek Discovery and Twilight Zone. But Disney Plus? Yikes.
The original shows detailed yesterday include

    • WandaVision, which will star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles from the Avengers as Scarlet Witch and Vision. Not clear whether this is pre or post-snap, as the two are dead in the latter.
    • The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a very literally titled show that will star Anthony Mackie (also starring in Netflix’s Altered Carbon second season) and Sebastian Stan. Again, not clear on if pre or post-snap.
    • Then there’s Tom Hiddleston’s Loki show, possibly the most can’t-miss of them all, implying Loki either survived his own death in Infinity War, or this takes place during one of the other times when he was probably faking his own death.
    • On the Star Wars side, Disney Plus will launch with Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian, the first live action Star Wars show in history, focused on a not-Boba-Fett Mandalorian warrior.
