Default Old user come back to homebrew, question about PSX emu

Hey guys its been a while since I've posted on here. I've just recently come back and purchased a PSP again since i got rid of my old one a couple of years ago. Just wanted to ask how far the PSX emulator has come since the days of 3.03 OE-C as that was the last firmware im familiar with using. Is there a better framrate with games, do they crash less and is the latest CW compatible with a lot more games now? I remeber back then there was a big problem with running resident evil 2 and 3.

RE 2-3 are running just fine now. You have to upgrade to an M33 firmware, around 3.90 or so, and get one of DA's applications called popsloader. Here is a link on how to use popsloader and what is needed: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/628073

When using popsloader, the compatibility of popstation is phenominally better. You can also now use multi-disk games from one eboot file. There have been a lot of popstation GUI's created, so you can pick and choose.

Among the highlights of working games now are:

    Metal Gear Solid (both disks)
    FFVII
Brave Fencer Musashi (yes, it really works)
Einhander (you need to check this game out)
    Tekken 3
RE 2 (both disks, in and out of the police station)
    RE 3 (complete)

One important thing that you need to keep in mind is that for RE 2 an Brave Fencer Musashi you need to change the game id's to SLPS-01222 (without the dash thing). This was the method discovered to fix the games.

Here is an organized and relatively up to date compatibility list: http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php...atibility_List

Well having a modded psp lets you play PSX games on 3.95 slim. Pops loader lets you have a psx game load up under a previous firmware version.

Here's a link that explains it alot better than I ever could and has links and all that to get it done.
