Angry ScummVM help searched everywhere...tutorials are no use.

I recently got homebrew running on my psp (version 1.50)

I have SCUMMVM and have got it working and everything.
The only problem I have is that it won't recognize my game.
    I have Sam & Max.
    The files that I have for it are monster.sog / samnmax.000 / samnmax.001

I have already went to scummvm.org and it tells me I have all the game files required to play. However when I follow the instructions (which aren't very discriptive in the first place - "place the game files in a directory" ) SCUMMVM doesn't recognize them.

I have been searching forums and tutorials and all I get are these basic instructions "place the game files in a directory" Well I have and it hasn't worked yet.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?
    Thank you for your responses.

    well the Scummvm emulator is

    PSP/GAME/SCUMV
    PSP/GAME/SCUMV%

    I put the game in

    PSP/GAME/SCUMV/GAMES
and i have also tried putting the game in just
    PSP

Okay I just tried that. Still nothing.

does my sam & max game have to be specially formatted for the psp or anything?
or are those files I mentioned the only thing needed to run the game.

it absolutely doesn't matter where the game-files are. you can put them anywhere.
you just have to add them using the "add game" button.
