New Final Fantasy XIII trailer, proudly proclaims 'PS3 Only' ... in Japan

It's not often you get to see new footage of Final Fantasy XIII. But, that's exactly what we have here. Moments after announcing an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix has released a trailer that still touts its PS3 exclusivity. There's tons of new pre-rendered footage to be feast upon, and a little bit of real-time content ... and it all ends with "for PLAYSTATION 3 Only ... in Japan."

cool. i am going to love this game. i can tell already. the graphics are amazing! u cant even tell when they transition from realtime to pre-rendered the few seconds they do.

According to the comments on QJ, QJ got it wrong

They will be releasing the Japanese version, but at a different time.

It said for PS3 only in Japan.

When they announced it for XBOX 360 they said that it will be for 360 in US and Europe, they didn't say japan.

As in Japan won't be getting a 360 version (not like they care).

Pretty much anyone who wanted it in Japan already owns a PS3.

Xbox 360's a failure in Japan (although its sold a little more than Xbox 1 did).
They know that not many people would buy it over there anyway, so it being exclusive to PS3 in Japan would actually just give it the same numbers but also anger Japanese 360 owners... maybe, on purpose?
