Any Xbox 360 from before mid-2007 is literally a time bomb, and I'd recommend you get a newer one (even the cheap Arcade version).

It's a piece of crap. Seriously (even though the games are pretty good).
EDIT: I actually watched the video. That's pretty weird...
so you get 1 red light, then 2, then 4, and then it repeats. That is weird

Put pressure on the GPU and CPU heatsinks. Just push down on them with some force. Does the problem stop?

The Xbox 360 needs to be properly cooled, I learned that from experience. It's getting two red rings, which means that it's overheating. Try to reassemble the Xbox 360, if it still overheats, play around with it until you get it work.
Or, get a PS3 or Wii
Xbox has X-bolts they warp Causing pins from the GPU or CPU to pull of the mother-board.
