Holux GPSlim 240 and Mapthis problem

Hey,
I have the problem with Mapthis 0.52 and Holux GPSlim 240 receiver similar to described in this video:



Basically, when I change baud rate to 4800 the indicator concerning receiver's in GPS Information screen flashes on and off. Changing rate to 38400 helped a bit: receiver is recognized in GPS Information mode: I receive info about satelites , date, time, latitude and longitude. The altitude is 0.0.

GPS mode during map viewing behaves as if there there in no receiver connected.

sounds like your receiver did not have a lock on enough satellites..check the manual you can tell if it's locked on location by looking at the lights on the receiver (forgot which ones)
Also, until it's locked, the 240 shows the lan/long values from the previous fix.
With holux, there is a big chance that you may get a defective unit, which acts weird or has reception problems... so test yours with some PC software to rule this out...
