Installed on a router could the telephone jack be configured to accept incoming connections?
Im trying to create an alternative to that method, its not very natural >.>
it only works on 98, no-one got it working in 2000 or xp as far as i know
Thats a router OS I bought a little while back, I was just wondering if I get an ADSL router (the ones that has a telephone port) If I could use it to accept incoming Dreamcast calls.
I just need to know if anyone knows how to set that PPP server to accept incoming connections on the telephone jack.
It would be much simpler and natural then the DC-PC server.
id be interested to hear the outcome of this
except me?it only works on 98, no-one got it working in 2000 or xp as far as i know
im currently connected on PC-DC server and its going... DC->56k nic->wireless nic->router->broadband modem
Tachikoma_Pilot, the only way to get this to work is via a the PC-DC server setup like mine.... or using a wireless bridge to connect a 56k->56k and still need to setup PC-DC server to get a connection
also note that your 56k nic needs to have voice as well and also know the difference between your dc's modem. ( "A" modems dont need a line voltage simulator while "B" modems do. )
