Nintendo DS Preorder Scramble Hits the US

News from C&VG:[br][br]Americans saving up to buy Nintendo's DS on its November 21 release date might have a Zelda-esque quest on their hands as they try to track one down. US retailers are already beginning to pull their pre-orders in the face of overwhelming demand.[br]The dual-screened handheld system, which will sell for $149.99 in the US and come bundled with PictoChat and a demo of Metroid Prime Hunters, has already reached the sales target set by one high street US retailer. They have stopped taking pre-orders so that gamers will not be disappointed on the release day by stock shortages.[br][br]Online US retailers are still accepting pre-orders for the system but many are slapping strict 'one-per-customer' regulations on purchases.[br][br]The news will come as sweet relief for Nintendo who plan to roll out a total of four million DS units for the American launch and the subsequent Japanese release on December 2. The company expects to sell every last one of these units within its financial year.[br][br]Sony's PSP, which launches in Japan on December 12 with a price-tag of 20,790 Yen (approximately 105, $195, or 150 Euro) with a US and European launch to follow, is predicted to shift three million units in the same time period. Japanese import retailers are reportedly doing brisk business on Sony's handheld.[br][br]Unfortunately for us Europeans, without a confirmed release date for either handheld system on this continent we're still in the dark as far as pre-orders go.[br][br]We'll bring you any more news as it happens.[br][br]Those looking for a Nintendo DS to Preorder should check out places like Lik Sang

I already preordered mine, and i am hoping to get it on the 21st, but i was wondering, will they sell more pre-orders than they will have on the 21st? I am looking foward to getting mine, but will i have to be there early to get it? or is it garenteed to be mine since i preordered it? BTW.. preordered at EB if that means anythign.
