MPH Firmware launcher for PSP 1.50.

    Version : 1.3.7u5 (Last version)

    Author : MPH

    Patch by : miemt11

    u5 version:

1: Include a new special mode for FIRMWARE 2.50 only (Should inprove stability)
2: Triangle + SELECT to toggle the mode status (Only can be set before emulation start)
3: Default special mode status is "OFF"
4: Fix some driver.c and patch.c conflict to minimize hang (Only tested on FIRMWARE 2.50 and little bit stable)
5: What is the special mode? It is a background thread to minitoring the sceIO.. API and to prevent hang
    6: Patch the ICON
7: The last U version for MPH 1.3.7 series and now wait for MPH 1.3.8
8: Final note: Always remember to support the original software company

miemt11, Thanks for these patches. This latest one seems to have helped the web browser. I'm launching 2.50 and the browser now connects directly after entering a address. It used to go to my network settins and I would have to select the wireless network. So now I don't have to. So thanks again. Still freezes when trying to enter text into a box. That seems to be the last hurdle. Maybe MPH can address it on his next release. In any case thanks again.

let me get this straight this is for 1.5 and 2.5 firmwire?
    or do you need a 1.5 AND a 2.5?

and what exactly does it do?

Ok, yet another plea for help...

On both the normal 1.3.7 and this modified version, when I try to open the browser on 2.50, nothing happens. I see the loading indicator at the corner, but then nothing happens. No hang, no error message, just nothing. Any ideas guys? I'll post a logfile if that would help...

It emulates the 2.0 and 2.5 fw on your 1.5 psp, so you could use the new fw features, AVC playback, browser, etc. without upgrading your psp.

Yeah, um, I still don't really understand how this program works. I'm guessing that it tricks the PSP into thinking it's a 2.5 firmware. How do I properly do that? I put it onto my memcard in the game directory and executed the program, then hit the X button, and got a bunch of "flash0" errors.

What I'm really looking for is a way to play backup UMD games that require firmware 2.0 or 2.5. I've been looking around all day and I can't find a place with any solid information about how to do this.

Per text file titled "MPH Firmware launcher.txt" located in the .zip file of this release listed at top. It explains,
Allows to launch a firmware from the memory stick
    (i.e. load emulated-fw 2.xx from hardware-fw 1.5).
The tutorial link looks bad though so try http://mphwebsite.tuxfamily.org/phpB...topic.php?t=54
