psp How would you change Sony's PSP-3000?

We first caught wind of a slightly revamped PSP months ago, and the long-awaited handheld -- complete with a new, fancier and in some cases more dreadful display -- finally hit US shelves this month. For those that picked one of these up and have spent some quality time digging into the latest firmware, how are you liking things? Particularly for those that upgraded, are you pleased with the new build? Are you being plagued with those mysterious screen problems features? Could you stand to see a few more things tweaked for the PSP-4000? We suspect there will be quite a few mixed messages flying in this one, so let's get those comments rolling.

Bluetooth, 2nd Analog stick, high capacity built-in storage, and most importantly, fix the screen interlacing and white balance issues. I was going to get a 3000 but have changed my mind due to the screen issues.

Fix the screen that's about all it needs.

Well maybe a beer dispenser and microwave that would be good too.

Fix the screen, put something above the face buttons where the Sony logo used to be, add 4GB or more of integrated memory.

No question about it: Hard drive. These last two hardware releases had little to nothing that was worth the hundreds of dollars they were charging for them. Even the "improved LCD" turned out to be crap (get ready for a recall).

In fact, these last two minor hardware revisions really make me sad, because without something innovative like a hard drive, I think the platform is dying. Sony will likely finally get serious about the PSP only after its been nailed into its coffin and is being lowered into the grave.

This question's been asked and answered a million times... We can all have wishfull thinking about what they'll put on the psp 4000 but the fact is very little will be done, any modifications on the 4000 will have to be compatible with the 1/2/3000 with addon peripherals like the microphone on the 3000, so the only possibilities i see is a builtin camera, memory or a2dp bluetooth stereo

Built in camera for video and photos, bluetooth support (so that we can use our cell phone's data plans to access internet), 2nd analog, larger flash memory, flash 9 support, and divx/xvid/h264 support..

They shouldn't have made it at all.
I think that the PSP 2000 was plenty good enough and that SONY should be focusing on the PSP-2.

Now what I would like to see in this PSP-2 is:
    • Obviously much improved graphics
    • Second analog stick, better d-pad, more responsive buttons, and r-2 l-2.
    • Built in 30 and 60 GB hard drive versions. (Keep the SD slot though)
    • Drop the UMD format, use digital distribution and either develop a new format or use something like mini-dvds.
    • Longer battery life
    • Much better Wifi, add Bluetooth, and bring back IR.
    • Touch screen (though not a big deal to me)
    • Obviously no ghosting, better, brighter, clearer screen. (standard 640x350 wide screen or better)
    • I could go on, but I know Sony isn't listening so I wont waist my time.

I'm pretty sure we'll see a PSP 2 and a successor to the DS by Christmas 2009 or sometime in 2010.
