CWcheat - some one help plz

Hi, I am totally lost when it comes to this right now.
A friend of mine gave me custom firmware, just today. He set it up and everything. the following is my system (psp) info.

System Software: 4.01 M33-2

I have downloaded CWcheat V2.2 and I have installed it just the way it says to but when I try to
turn plugin on
There is NO plugin listed!
I am not sure what I am doing wrong
I followed the instructions to the 'T'.

Can someone Plz help me ASAP.

First, make sure you're using the right version of CWCheat for the version of Firmware you've got. For best results, I'd say get everything current and bump yourself up to 5.00 M33-4.

Then add this to your game.txt file in the 'seplugins' folder:

ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat.prx 1

Assuming it's enabled in the Recovery, then all you have to do to bring up the CWCheat menu while you're in-game is hold down the 'Select' button for about five seconds.

I've not had any luck with getting this to work on PSN games, though....

I am working with the latest version that CWcheats offers.
