World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King topped the final PC chart of 2008 in the US as the pre-Christmas influence of standalone triple A titles continued to wane.

Expansions for the Sims 2 saw gains with Double Deluxe taking second place, Apartment Life sitting in fifth and Mansion & Garden Stuff in ninth.

Meanwhile Spore was third, followed by Left 4 Dead in fourth place, Fallout 3 in sixth and Call of Duty: World at War in seventh.

The World of Warcraft Battle Chest took eighth position, with Bejeweled Twist rounding out the top ten.

The list was therefore dominated by Electronic Arts, responsible for half of the entries, while Activision Blizzard took three, and Bethesda and PopCap one apiece.
