Is it possible to play Mario Kart DS online with a Cyclo DS Evolution?

I've been trying to play the online for Mario Kart DS on my Cyclo DS Evolution and it isn't working. The thing is that every other Wi-Fi game (Except for Mario Kart and Metroid Prime Hunters) works for me.
Is there something special that I have to do to get it to work?
