Polite London-based indie developer Beatnik Games has announced that its first offering, robot-fixated Plain Sight, has reached open beta and, you know, why don't you have a go?

Plain Sight is a 3D multiplayer arcade explode-'em-up featuring bouncing, sword-wielding robots with a goal-orientated death wish. Here's how it works: the more people you kill, the more points you get; the more points you get, the bigger, stronger and better you become. The more people you annihilate when you detonate yourself, the higher the multiplier you receive. Mostest points at the end wins, innit?

You can download the open beta version of Plain Sight from the appropriate beta page on Beatnik Games' official website. Open beta servers will be available until February 8.

Plain Sight, in its final form, is set to arrive on PC early in 2009 for around 10 USD / 10 GBP. An Xbox 360 version is planned for later release.
