Relic's anticipated real-time strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is scheduled to go live next week, and right alongside or a few days later will be the first patch. The developer says in a post on its official site the patch will incorporate a number of balance changes and tweaks, including two additional multiplayer maps for 1v1 and 3v3 play that were not available in the open beta that's been running for the last few weeks.

When the game does go live players should expect all statistics and leaderboards to be reset as they'll be undergoing changes in format.

The post highlights two elements of the game the first patch will adjust; the rate of requisition acquisition and the way suppression will work. Players should expect, according to the post, a more balanced rate of incoming requisition across team and 1v1 online games, as well as more optimized suppression mechanics.
