Default Monkey 64 HOWTO ***Read First***

    1. Make a folder on the root of your memorystick called "N64".

    2. Make sure the rom you have is unzipped. For example the filename should be something like "WaveRace64.v64".

    3. Take that file and put it into the folder called "N64" which is on the root of your memorystick.

    4. Now place Monkey64 in your game folder.

For people with 1.0 or people using eloader your memorystick should look like this:

    E:\N64
    E:\PSP
    E:\PSP\GAME
    E:\PSP\GAME\Monkey64

For people with 1.5 your memorystick should look like this:
    E:\N64
    E:\PSP
    E:\PSP\GAME
    E:\PSP\GAME\Monk _
    E:\PSP\GAME\Monk_~1%

Now... start up the emulator, and then you should come up to something that says this:

    ( ) load rom -> WaveRace64.v64
    ( ) clock speed
    etc...

Make sure that the "0" between the parentheses is in "load rom" section and press "X". The light should flicker a couple of times and when it stops go down to "Run Rom" and press "X" again.

Congratulations you are now emulating the N64 on your PSP (well, sorta).

Thankyou. We needed this. From now on any problems should hopefully be posted in this thread. ATM there's a lot of homebrew noobs asking questions everywhere.

    2.6 owners:

Follow Sn!pers guidelines on installing 1.5, then run the MONK folder from the eloader menu.
Running the psmonkey folder will make the PSP crash.

I agree. This will cut down on the stupid questions like "Monkey 64 only works in the game folder not in the root, and then it won't find roms. HELP!"

It takes thousands of nuts to hold a car together, but it takes only one to shatter it across the highway

Duct Tape is like the force. It has a light and dark side, and it holds the world together

Why do I think that sometimes I'm the only one who knows what a readme.txt file is for?

If you did enough searching to find this info, then you should be able to find the answer to that question.

Yes it will work on 2.60, follow the instructions above for 1.0 or people using an eloader.

Yes, you will need an eloader and an actual copy of GTA:Liberty Stories.

Do not ask for an eloader or how to install it and use it, go find it.
