    Default I would only update if...

    I would only update my psps firmware if all or some of the features on this list I have made actually come out in the update. If I was in charge of making the firmware for the psp I would add these features.

    (It is done in the style you would find it on www.yourpsp.com)




    Update features (ver 3.00)

    An update to the PSP system software was made available on 5th April 2006. With this update, the system software is version 3.00. Features updated in system software 3.00
    include:

    Network
    • A new application, an E-mail client - Sony mail has been added.
    • An AM, FM radio has been added.
    • Flash support has now been added to the internet browser.
    • A music store has been added.
    • A download service has been added.

    Game
    • A send and recive feature has been added for the saved data utility.
    A PSone emulator has been added
    Video
    • WMA is now a supported video format.
    • WAV is now a supported format.

    Music
    • WMV can now be played without the use of the internet browser.

    Photo
    • BMP is now a supported format.

    A new menu has been added to the home screen “Applications”.

    Applications
    • A notepad program has been added .
    • A paint program has been added.
    • An organizer has been added.
    • A media player has been added.
    • An alarm clock has been added.
    • A calender has been added.
    • A calculator has been added .
    • A timer/stopwatch has been added.

    Settings
    • A password protect feature has been added under security settings.
    • A new menu “UMD” has been added.
    • An enable or disable run UMD on startup has been added under UMD.
    • A custom music on startup feature has been added under system settings.
    • A screen saver option has been added.

    Other
    • An upgraded keyboard has been added.
    • A rename files option has been added under Photo, Music, Video and the save data. utility
    • The PSP can now support animated backgrounds and screen savers.

    Note
    • This system software update includes all features contained in previous update versions.
    • The new system software will preserve any settings previously made to the PSP (such as the parental control level.
    • Do not use data other than official update data acquired through our company’s server.
    • Depending on the software title, you may not be able to play without first updating the PSP system software.

    how much will the reciever cost?

    You forgot to add: The PSone emu. and the ability to run all user mode homebrew under game menu ,I know sony will never allow full kernal access due to the PIRATES but everyones got usermode hb already and they have not seemed to bothered

    Until homebrew is easy to access on 2.0+ I will never upgrade

    and one thing for an alarm it would have to turn on by itself can the psp do that??

    This list is what I want and the alarm could program colud switch the psp on on its own If you programmed it right

    Some of the apps you thought up is nice. Actually all of it would be real nice. And about the alarm,i think they can make it so that it can ring while its turned off. It worked on my phone,and they should be able to program it that way too.
