Acekard 2i - DSi firmware 1.4 fix released

The eagerly anticipated Acekard 2i firmware update has been released, proving once and for all that the card is in fact update-able. This update fixes the compatibility of the card with DSi firmware 1.4. Two update files are included in the download. Use the DSi labeled update to update your card. However, if you have multiple Acekard 2i cards that you wish to update all in a row then run the DSL update from a DS Lite to be able to update multiple cards without powering off the system. If you only have one card just use the DSi update.

get the files.
put the update file onto your sd card, go on your dsi go to acekard run the .nds update file.
THEN update your dsi to 1.4
so first update your acekard then update your dsi

What you will need to update your AceKard 2i Card:

DSi Console with Firmware lower than 1.4X (1.4E, 1.4J, 1.4U & 1.4A) e.g 1.3 or 1.2 OR

DS Lite Console

AceKard 2i Card Loaded with Standard Firmware V4.17

To Check Your DSi Firmware Version:
Click 'Setting' on the Main Menu
In the right hand corner of the top screen it will say VER 1.X

STEPS:

Unzip 'AceKard 2i Update for DSi 1.4.rar' you will then have two files:

Updating via DSi use : ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds
Updating via DS Lite use : ak2ifw_update_14_DSL.nds

Copy the file to the root of the Micro SD memory card.

Place the Micro SD back into the AceKard 2i Card and insert into DSL/DSi Console

Select the Micro SD Card icon (from the main operating system on the AceKard 2i Main Screen)

Select the Firmware file ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds/ak2ifw_update_14_DSL.nds

Follow the on screen instructions (Press Start to update)

Complete!! You have a working AceKard 2i with DSi Firmware 1.4

Updated the firmware so I could update the firmware (IYSWIM) and DS Reader no longer works - great shame since it's the main use I put my DSi to. Am doing the system update now in case that improves matters with DS Reader although I doubt it...
