Very true, I was expecting this to happen any day and it has. At least I know now until we see a v6.00+ cfw or a workaround somehow, I think I might as well revert my old 1004 PSP back to v5.00 M33-6. Not being able to use Remote Play over the internet with custom firmware is a shame, even if it it is laggy.

Oh please folks FFS its normal of sony to make people update their firmware to use the PSN store like back when i had 4.00M33 (think thats right been a while >.<) then sony jumped to 5.00OFW an you where required to update. Don't just say it blocks 5.50Gen full I mean pfft.....its also blocking 5.03 firmware. I'm kinda happy I updated back to OFW because i have about 16gb worth in game an video content on psn an GTR psp needs the newest firmware >.>

Ya....I'm on a psp3k so 5.50gen has been dead to me. An I have all my stuff downloaded with 224mb left so no room to rip to a iso an run in chickhen so update to 5.55ofw then to 6.00ofw then to 6.10ofw so i could keep using psn.

    Yup

And ho cares if PSN works anyway... You can always use your PS3 to download stuff from that.

And with custom firmware, I don't have to pay for a PSN download on some PS1 game I already own. I can just rip it from disc, and convert it to Eboot

You can't play Mortal Kombat Trilogy on Official Firmware (may fav game)

    CFW For the Win !!!

well if you all think of this its not really sony banning 5.50 gen-b its just they put it so you need to have 6.00 cfw or ofw so dont worry psn doesnt really have awesome thing that you cant find anywhere else so this isnt really them bannig us its just a psn fw requirement. so this shouldnt be listed as 5.50 gen-b ban its just update lol
