Default Dreamcast & Samba De Amigo 2000

I used to own a PAL Dreamcast as well as a freeloader and Samba De Amigo 2000 and two sets of maracas. I blew out two dreamcasts and the maracas stopped working. I'd love to play that game again but don't want to have any problems. Do you think it is a simply a case of using a step down converter? I don't think I did that before.

I'm thinking about purchasing a Japanese dreamcast as I only want to use it to play the two Samba games.

Any tips would be much appreciated

    Thank you

I'm pretty sure that despite whatever region the Dreamcast, you can always use a boot disc to load other region games.
