Default NEOGEO Emulator for PSP beta

NJ has released a new version of his NeoGeo Arcade Emulator for the PSP

Thanks to b8a for the translation:

Fixed the issues with alpha 3.
I don't have time right now, so please see the sources below for what's changed.

    readme.txt
    list.txt

Items that can not be fixed due to the implementation

Sound plays, but sometimes does not syncronyze with the screen
The speed drops drastically when there is a lot of sprites being drawn

*I'm thinking that it looks like games along the lines of Waku Waku 7 are going as far as they can go when at the barely playable level. If only there was twice as much memory.

I also translated the readme and list files. See this post: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/sho...067#post138067, if interested.

Been playing this for a couple of hours now. It makes me wonder what this guys job is since he seems to have unlimited time to work on this emulator

No matter, it kicks ass. Kizuna works now, where as before it just let to a black screen.

I'm really interested to know how the cache system works. I wonder if it creates some kind of prefetch or if it's just compressing the sprites until they are called for?

Let's see if he reads these forums.

Man and I though n64 for the PSP was coming around rather quickly but this emulator is being built up pretty quick. Great work!!

P.S. Is Metal Slug any bit playable yet 1 or 2 because I know anything beyond that for Metal Slug is not playable.

P.S.S. I know were probaly looking down the road on this one but I really hope in this NEO GEO emulator that multiplayer support is released that way we can play games like Metal Slug 1+2, and X multiplayer, also some old school games like Magic Sword

Is the difference between NEOGEO Emulator and NEOCDZ, that this one is for NeoGeo arcade ROM versions instead of CD ISO versions of the games?

Metal slugs 1 and 2 are on the cd version of the emulator.

Although metal slug 2 is slow, 1 is almost perfect.

The only downside is they are bigger file sizes (unless you strip the music out). They are also better on the cd version because they have the combat school option.

The mvs version doesn't have that does it?
