your problem is with the skin... you have to resize the skin to match a 8^2 dirivitive (64, 128, 256) use the larger of the 2 sides as your squared mesurment

say 256x128, you want to use the 256

keep everything as is and add on to the canvas either down or to the right. any other direction and you will ruine the skin.

if you do this it is sugested you scale your texture down.

all textures are recomended to be 128x128 for player skins, if you are able to manage a 64x64 thats great, that means you can have 4 skins for the same space!

room textures are reccomended to be 64x64 and 32x32

you have to use under 2 megs of texture memory.

to properly calculate that save all of your textures as 32bit TGA files!

and add up the total size...

if you dont want to save all your textures again (if they are 24bit, which is recomended because 24bit will save you space on your memory card)

THEN! you can open up a new image (paintshop pro, The GIMP, Adobe Photoshop, ect..) open up a new document with the dimentions 1024x512

use all the textures you will use, (this includes player skins)

and put them in that open image border to border if all your pictures fit in without overlaping or going out of the image, then you're textures are at or under the memory limit.
