Steve Wiebe, international nice guy and star of the documentary "King of Kong", doesn't just sit around all day playing video games. He also writes and records albums.
This is his debut album, appropriately titled "The King of Song". Those expecting a collection of songs dedicated to Donkey Kong and Billy Mitchell's ties will be disappointed, however, as it's 11 tracks of Christian music, with song names like "Chapel in the Pines" and "Pilot in my Soul".
A shame, then, but it's not a total write-off, as it's so cheesy it sounds like the soundtrack to an inspirational telemovie. Play it over "King of Kong" (of which you'll get an autographed copy if you buy the CD!) in slow motion and you've got yourself a fun afternoon.
