Square Enix's blood-filled box shooter Death by Cube is joined by the prequel to Konami's 1996 tactical role-playing game Vandal Hearts to form this week's new additions to the Xbox Live Arcade.
Robots shooting cubes filled with blood - this is the perfect way to describe Square Enix's new twin-stick shooter, Death by Cube, which McWhertor said might have been "the bloodiest game at the Tokyo Game Show." I'm in in for 800 Microsoft points, as long as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty Towards Boxes doesn't rear its ugly head again. I hate those guys.
Those craving a more thoughtful experience can instead shell out 1200 Microsoft points for Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment, the prequel to Konami's PlayStation classic, Vandal Hearts. It's colorful, tactical role-playing goodness, and with 12-16 hours of gameplay plus the promise of downloadable content, it should keep you occupied until you're no longer missing the $15 you've spent on it.
Both games will be up for sale on Xbox Live sometime early Wednesday morning.
