Default Anyone else here attempt to create a BBA?

I know extensive research has been attempted on various levels of development, but I've yet to find anything interms of home-made ethernet connections. Most I've found was in hacking up the modem to create an extra Parallel port, as well as hooking of ISA cards, but, considering some the the electrical expertise of some of you all, I'd think someone would have attempted it. Doesn't the BBA use a realtek chip, and if so, is it available?

Also, what is the largest limiting factor in homebrewing up a BBA?

There was a TON of discussion about this before. Apparently there's also a SEGA chip on there which seems to be the problem with making your own. I'll see if I can dig those posts up.

I'm sure there's more, but that should answer most of your questions.

Much more feasible task would be a modem-to-usb converter, to connect your dc to the net through a pc
