Vs CPU: Mode where the opponent (CPU controlled) and stage can be chosen freely.

I played the previous 2 and thought they were decent. I'm not huge on fighting games but I found certain characters fun.

hm.. yeah, but still they weren't that great... at least this one has all the chars from the series.
