Well, Unreal, Quake and descent are good also good are Diablo and Starcraft but i believe those aren´t opensource.

If they were, Diablo could be like this...

Id take Starcraft over diablo.... id also take Warcraft 2 over diablo..... Warcraft 1 would be cool too!

I vote for Abuse

it would probably be the simpilest to port and make the best use of the controls.

aiming and weapon selection via the touch screen (TAP to select weapons DRAG to aim otherwise you might accidently be changing weapons all the time)
movement via the pad and L to jump should work perfectly.

plus the levels and graphics in one version are open source also are the descent levels and graphics and models open source also or just the engine?

My idea is the original Sims, I know its a huge PC game but by that I mean the sims where you "play god", create a house and make the family do what you want, this game can become tiresome on the PC when its your only focus, but is perfect for a handheld whilst your lounging around, IMO it would be a big hit in this community, even if it werent directly a sims port, we need a game like that.

Aswell as that I'll just list random games i'd like in no real order:

Sims 1
Banjo Kazooie
Prince of Persia
Grand Theft Auto (I'd love a 3d styled)
Star Wars Battlefront!!!!! =-O, great game, for ps2 atleast
Tekken
City Of Hereos/City Of Villians



Alot are probably impossible ideas, but I have no idea how you guys do these ports so its worth a shot suggesting them.

it would be cool to have a ds version of WoW. and because of the wifi capabilities, you could have online servers, just like the quake port for psp. ah dreams...

Sorry, guys. I haven't checked it in a while... But apparently people still have some good ideas. Keep them comming!

Just to remind everyone, this is a list of open source games. Feel free to post games that you think are open source (I'll do my best to find out), but games like Banjo Kazooie aren't even for the PC... Which means no source code, ever.
