    Default 2.70 firmware

    when sony released 2.7 soon after that they released 2.71 maybe there was an exploit it 2.7 that they didnt want us to know about and then quickly released 2.71

    The 2.71 update might have disabled the modchip. Oh well, I've got Dev Hook plus custom firmware.
